Time is running out for Charlie Bone . . .

Charlies hopes that the new term at Bloor's Academy will hold no nasty surprises. But then Henry Yewbeam appears, twisted through time from the icy winter of 1916.

With the scheming Yewbeam aunts on the prowl, and the Bloors out to catch him, Henry will need Charlie's help just to stay alive. Bloor's Academy can be a very dangerous place . . .

Book Two in The Children of the Red King series!

I am reliving my childhood by rereading one of my FAVORITE series as a child. As I have said before, this series was my own Harry Potter growing up.

We are back again at Bloor's Academy and OF COURSE strange things are happening once again to poor Charlie, his friends and his family. This time Charlie's great-great uncle or something like that from the past shows up in the future. There's more drama with Manfred and the rest of his crew. Billy is still up to no good - AND SHAME ON HIM FOR WHAT HE DID. HE'S RUINED FOR ME BECAUSE OF ONE THING THAT I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR... iykyk. I have forgotten most of what happened in this series but I was hoping he would be redeemable.

Charlie is still on the hunt for his father while helping out everyone else with their problems. I still love the setting and the powers that all of these endowed children have. I love getting to see more of Uncle Payton and I hope his relationship blossoms soon.

The update for Mrs. Bloor was great and I applaud whats-his-face (whoops forgot the kids name - Figaro or something) for helping her out. Grandma Bone and the aunts are even more rotten than before (someone needs to just take them out at this point everyone would forgive a little murder in this case).

I am looking forward to continuing on with this series and I highly recommend it to those who haven't read it before. The audiobook narrations are great and I am still hoping this will become a tv show or a movie in the future.
